Judges Award | Portfolio of David Kasnic, WKU
In each of the categories David Kasnic entered, his images caught the attention of the judges and stood out as something very unique but not compatible with the specific categories in which they were entered.
The photographer had a very different way of approaching photography. He seemed comfortable with taking risks and not following any defined standards but his own. We felt the Judges Award was an opportunity to acknowledge risk-taking, a feat that many times fails. We wanted to affirm that it is okay to take risks, even if they don’t always pay dividends.
